Star Wars Galaxies allows players a great deal of freedom to run their own events. These can be role-playing events, PvP tourneys, weddings, MOB hunts, murder-mysteries, fundraisers, role playing events, dance concerts, game shows or just a party. Imagination is the limit.

While the only real requirement for an event is for people to attend, there are many ways players can make the most of their gathering with tools that are already available in the game world.

• Storyteller props and effects help you tell your story.
  
• City and housing decorations are often used to create a backdrop for an event.

• Player Event Perks (purchased from NPCs in various city hotels across the galaxy) are limited duration decorations and tools designed specifically for running events.

• Image Design skills and clothing options allow for players to create their own event characters.

• PvP and dueling rules exist to easily allow players to run tournaments or factional battles.

• A Player Events Calendar of publicly announced player events is regularly posted to help advertise events.
